3 x 2 Vincents Vineyards

Vincent Bründlmayer bought a small parcel planted with old Grüner Veltliner vines from his father on the impressive Spiegel “Erste Lage” vineyard and since 2011 he has been making his very own wines in limited edition which display lots of individuality, finesse and character. All vintages of these rare bottles are true collector items, a different artist friend is invited to design a new label every year.

Grüner Veltliner Vincents Spiegel 2017

Initially reductive with a yeasty background, then followed with fruity fireworks led by Mirabelle plum and yellow peach. Concentrated and expressive with an exotic touch. Oak is quickly integrated. Powerful body, but finely chiseled and defined. Already quite open, exuding sweet fruit and all indications of a great Grüner Veltliner. Salty caramel notes linger on the long finish.

Grüner Veltliner Vincents Spiegel Maischegärung 2015

Multi-layered aromatic spectre, dried herbs, hey and floral notes, very present, yellow fruit underlined by a hint of earthiness; the palate offers a lively acid-spice-play from the beginning onwards, dense fruit profile of quince and ripe citrus fruit, full mid-palate without being heavy, rather subtle with a fine nuance of meadow herbs, dried hey, persistent structure which stays until the very end…

Rawländer 2016

Brilliant carmine red with delicate, youthful yeast haze. Opens quickly and develops an increasingly beguiling bouquet comprised of hay flower, red currant, forest berry, cherry and plum with notes of vanilla bean and elegant noble aromas. Initially gentle and dry, then pleasantly fresh and juicy, medium bodied, elegantly structured, and very balanced with fine-grained tannins. The finish features fascinating extract sweetness with fruit aromas that develop into chocolate-covered cherry and Damson plum with delicate toasty-spicy nuances. Quite approachable now, although still at the beginning of its development.
