Fine Red Wines
For the “elegant red wine” drinker: nice matches with autumnal delights such as poultry, venison, mushrooms…
Compilation
Pinot Noir
Blauburgunder
2018

Opens with some smokey leafy spice, followed by wood-berries, plums and cherries as well as flowery tones; on the palate, pleasantly dry, opens softly with hints of typical red fruit (see above), before it shows its nice backbone formed of supporting acidity, juvenile grip and a long spicy finish.

Zweigelt Reserve
2018

A fine fruit display of plum & blood orange, ripe and inviting, also flowery with a decent hint of oak; dry, fresh and juicy; open-hearted & tempting; medium bodied and fine-grained, nice acidity and peppery spice as well as minerals in the pleasantly long finish.
Food pairing recommendation
For pastas and barbecues in summer, roasted veal and pork, veal and pork leaver, young venison and lamb, soft cheese dishes when more mature…
Willi & Vincent
Cabernet Franc & Merlot
2016

The Cabernet Franc character with red fruit, fine toasty and leafy notes, is accompanied by typical but very fresh berry fruit and a cool vegetal spice of the Merlot, hints of cherries and a touch of elderberry-leaves; equally youthful on the palate, opens dry, pure and tight, with again fresh fruit and spice, as well as a leafy (tea) character, all elements lifted by an expressive acidity backbone; medium body and weight. Good length and future-oriented.
Food pairing recommendation
All sorts of roast meat, steaks, wild goose, game with hearty sauces, breast of duck, as well as strongly flavored cheeses if not too vulgar.
