Falstaff Ortswein-Winners
As in previous years, the Bründlmayer Winery claimed the Falstaff Cup title for the best Village Wine of the Kamptal with its 2024 Langenlois Alte Reben Grüner Veltliner. The wine’s outstanding quality stems from its origins in prime vineyards around Langenlois. Among connoisseurs, the Bründlmayer Langenloiser GV is popular as a value-for-money favourite, partly because it is usually drinkable earlier than wines from single vineyards, without being inferior to them in terms of complexity, balance and longevity.

Langenlois Alte Reben Grüner Veltliner
2024
Kamptal DAC

Medium yellow-green with silver highlights. Delicate notes of yellow apple, subtle hints of passion fruit, a touch of spice and lime, and a tightly woven bouquet. Juicy, crisp, light-footed, and mineral-driven, with notes of white stone fruit and a salty finish that lingers nicely, leading to a fresh finish. A good food pairing with potential, already pleasantly developed.

Food pairing recommendation
Pairs perfectly with classic Austrian dishes such as Tafelspitz and Backfleisch, as well as a variety of fish dishes, vegetable gratins, and the diverse flavors of Asian cuisine. A true all-rounder that becomes even more versatile as it begins to mature.
