Wine Diary
A sunny finale 2025!
The last sunny days of October gave us a late but rewarding end to the harvest!
On Wednesday, we picked the remaining Riesling grapes of the highest quality from Steinmassl, and today we can actually report a small amount of Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese from Heiligenstein!
Just the week before, we received the last Grüner Veltliner grapes for our award-winning Ortswein* “Langenloiser Alte Reben” from various top vineyards in Langenlois. To our great delight, a spotlessly clean Gelber Muskateller from the Spiegel vineyard also found its way into the cellar and is already fermenting merrily. Perhaps we will be able to present it already at the Tour de Vin 2026 in May.
It was a long, exciting, and ultimately challenging harvest. A big thank you goes out to everyone who persevered so well! It is still too early to assess the 2025 vintage, but this much can be said: many good things are maturing in our cellar, and we are looking forward to the coming year with great confidence!
