Bründlmayer F25 NV
2025
Bright straw-yellow, a subtle, finely structured, and surprisingly complex bouquet that broadens gracefully with air; spice (pickled olives), blossoms, then stone and pome fruits in the background (fresh apple, quince), with red berry notes (cranberry) and a touch of brioche emerging. On the palate, gentle at first, dry, flowing very smoothly, then suddenly very juicy—pear, berries, apple peel—surprisingly substantial, yet light-footed and lively. The firm acidity keeps the wine taut; the finish shows well-integrated oak and, above all, salty notes. Enormous drinkability, but also an excellent companion to food during the first half of the evening; suitable as a “repair wine” for repeat sippers.
Most of the wines intended for the 2025 tirages impressed us so much that we decided to offer a small quantity of a cuvée as a still wine. Primarily because this light, high-quality blend simply tastes wonderful on its own. But of course, we also want to demonstrate that fine sparkling wine can only be made from the very best base wines.
46% Pinot Noir, 54% Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, 86% base vintage 2023 with 15% older reserve wines, 14% vintage 2024 (Pinot Noir)
