Best of Riesling

These elegant white wines stem from the best Riesling sites of the Kamptal. Ideal for warm appetizers, seafood, grilled fish, fried chicken or Wiener Schnitzel, whole roasted pork or veal. More mature Reserves offer a good alternative to red wines, pairing well with whole roasted duck or goose.

Riesling

2020

Kamptal DAC, Erste Lage ÖTW

Sparkling clean, ‘grapy’-zesty Riesling bouquet including notes of juniper & Braeburn apples, fresh and dry, juicy though still a bit reduced in its first years, red-berry aromas on the palate, super straight, one would like to say ‘slim fit’ with a fragrant touch of fruity sweetness before the long finish.

Riesling

2014

Kamptal DAC, Erste Lage ÖTW

A deep fragrance of passion fruit, peaches, citrus and peppermint radiates freshness and vitality and yet immediately drives deep. Highly elegant and distinguished, full of fruit charm and esprit, fills the mouth with bright aromas. Focused and complex all the way into the long finish.

Riesling

2017

Kamptal DAC Reserve, Erste Lage ÖTW

Captivating nose with the expected array of aromas including pineapple, milk chocolate and a touch of cantaloupe melon. Fully ripened, but not too voluptuous, allowing a glimpse of future harmony. Sweetly extracted and vivacious with salt-mineral facets. Genteel elegance and crystal-clear expression. This will evolve into a truly great Riesling with its full potential to be measured in decades.

Food pairing recommendation

An excellent food companion with grilled fish, roast or fried chicken, salted or smoked meats  (but without sauerkraut!), Wiener schnitzel, or as an alternative to red wine with roast duck or goose. It’s also ideally suited to many hearty exotic dishes . After some years of maturing, it can be recommended for fish with a variety of sauces - such as beurre blanc or Riesling cream sauce.
