A good start to spring!
Animals and humans are currently creating a great atmosphere in the vineyard! It's knocking, hammering, humming, chirping and chirping that it's a joy! In addition to the usual repair work, we will soon be clearing the vines: the soil around the roots of the vines is being raked and grasses and competing weeds are being removed.
The weather has been moody in keeping with the season, but even these moods are to our liking: over the past week we have received over 30 litres/m² of rain in a series of showers. The vines now have enough water for an energetic start to vegetation! However, budding is still a little late due to the cooler temperatures. That's good!
Premieres at the Tour de Vin!
The popular classics Kamptal Terrassen 2024 Grüner Veltliner and Riesling were bottled recently so that they can be officially tasted for the first time (and then already in good condition) at the Tour de Vin week end, Sat.3rd and Sun.4th of May.
This is followed by the bottling of our marvellous single vineyard reserves of 2023, which were allowed to spend two winters in the cellar and still need a slightly longer rest in the bottle before being released in September. However, if you visit our winery on Sunday 4th of May, you can not only taste these wonderful wines from the Erste Lage vineyards (Kammerner Lamm, Zöbinger Heiligenstein, Langenloiser Käferberg and Langenloiser Spiegel) but also buy them at an attractive en primeur price. Attention, only on Sunday!
