Wine Diary
Out into the light, into the air, into the warmth!
After many gray winter days, the still mild, warming sunlight feels liberating and makes working outdoors easier. Just in time for the arrival of spring, we have happily completed the pruning of the vines. The nights are still very cool, but it hasn't frozen for several weeks now. A first tender green is already shining between the rows of vines. As usual, we had hardly any rainfall in early spring, but the soil still holds some winter moisture. A blanket of snow in February, which is rather rare in the Kamptal, melted only slowly, allowing the water to seep deep into the ground.
While we are busy with tying up the vines and the usual outdoor maintenance work at the winery (wire frames, posts, paths, and embankments...), our young wines also want to go out into the world to be presented to the public: The most important German wine fair, Pro Wein in Düsseldorf, takes place this weekend, and we are confident that the new Bründlmayer 2025 vintage will also find many enthusiastic customers.
