2022 Lamm & Käferberg shine

Wine editor Willi Balanjuk announced a small earthquake after the jury had tasted all the current Grüner Veltliners submitted. An earthquake because he was delighted with the many “vibrant” wines. A total of 262 wines were submitted, 104 of them in the 2022 Reserve category, which was led by Bründlmayer Ried Lamm (97+P). Ried Käferberg (96+P) just behind in 2nd place makes the Bründlmayer double victory perfect.

Andreas Wickhoff knows the value of this success in a challenging vintage for Grüner Veltliner: “For us, the harvest 2022 (...) was a test of patience that was rewarded. Old vines, Lyra training, multiple quantity reductions and finally also grape division were essential to achieve the desired depth and complexity.”
