In der Rubrik der New York Times "How to be cultured ... wines to have on hand at home" empfiehlt der legendäre New Yorker Sommelier Aldo Sohm:
"The best home wines are the ones that people finish first" like Weingut Bründlmayer Kamptal Terrassen 2024. A Grüner Veltliner - which sometimes has a tick of effervescence and falls on the spectrum between a sauvignon blanc and an albariño, without the aromatic intensity of the former or the high acidity of the latter - will never break the bank, "says Sohm. "This one, from a family winery northwest of Vienna helmed by the methodical Willi Bründlmayer, has a distinct crisp green apple element."
