Picking during national holiday
October 27, 2020
A dry and ‘well-tempered’ national holiday gave us the chance to harvest the remaining Grüner-grapes from Langenloiser Käferberg and Langenloiser Spiegel. Today we have another break, but it appears that we finally have entered the final stretch in the last week of October. There are still important parcels for the ’Langenloiser Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben’ waiting to be picked, the Lyre-trellised Cabernet Franc at the foothill of Heiligenstein and our Muskateller on Rosenhügel. The latter will have to be very carefully selected indeed, then eventually it might again provide grapes for an unconventional, impressive wine.
