100 berries before harvest!
August 21, 2026
The long-awaited rain has finally arrived; 10–12 liters per square meter fell around Langenlois—just enough to seep down to the roots of the vines. Ripening is now progressing rapidly. This was also confirmed by our“100-berry samples”: in selected vineyards, we collect about a hundred berries each, from different rows and from many different vines, and analyze their juice at the winery. The results have convinced us to begin harvesting the grapes for our sparkling base wines right after the week end.
